Jori Huhtala (b.1984) is a bass player from Finland. He performs and records with a numerous different groups e.g. Kvalda, Big Blue, Raoul Björkenheim Ecstasy, Panu Savolainen Proprius, Kaisa Kulmala Trio, Hanne Pulli & Space Machine and Mighty Mighty Sextet. He has also collaborated with many more of the top musicians in Finland. Jori is also an active composer and writes music for many of the groups he works with.

Originally brought up in Jyväskylä, a city in central Finland, Jori became interested in jazz at a very young age. In 2001 Jori began his studies at the local Consevatoire and gratuated as a Pop & Jazz Musician in 2005. Since 2006 he has been studying at the Sibelius Academy's Jazz Department in Helsinki, Finland. Year 2010 he graduated as Bachelor of Music and is currently continuing his Master studies. He spent the academic year 2010-2011as an exchange student in the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden.
